The American Heritage Girls Troop VA 0428 is hosting their annual ‘Wreaths Across America’ fundraiser.
The troop, which is based out of Woodbridge, does the holiday fundraiser each October and November, according to Troop Coordinator Carrie Kilareski.
Kilareski stated that the wreaths for the fundraiser will be laid at the Arlington National Cemetery on December 12, to honor veterans who died in military service.
“We will participate as a troop and help lay the wreaths on December 12th and then we will help clean up the wreaths on January 23. But first we will help WAA raise money for the wreaths,” stated Kilareski.
According to Kilareski, wreaths for the fundraiser are being sold at $15, and $5 from every wreath sold will go to the troop. Once purchased, the wreaths will be made and taken by the troop, to be presented at the Arlington National Cemetery.
Wreaths can be purchased online here.
