It was all food, family, and fun at the African American Heritage Festival in Manassas on Saturday.
At the festival there was entertainment, food truck vendors, kid’s games, motorcycles and a classic car show.
Several vendors took part in the festival, and promoted voter registration, membership for area fraternities and sororities, and church activities at local churches.
Candace Brown, a Gainesville resident, came with her husband and two teenage children. As a family the Browns make a point of attending the festival every year, this is their fourth year attending. Candace Brown enjoyed “time chatting with representatives from local civic and community organizations.” The Browns also appreciated seeing familiar faces amongst the small business owners.
The African-American Heritage festival takes place the first Saturday of August every year.
