Wondering what has opened up in the former Daks Grill location? We have your answer.
Georgees Grill, formerly located in Fairfax, has opened up on the site at 13641 Minnieville Road in Woodbridge. The restaurant just opened this week, and serves a blend of Afghan, Mediterranean, and American cuisine.
Over the years, the historic flagstone house turned hog and dairy farm, general store, and furniture store, and several other businesses before lying vacant for several years following Daks Grills’ closure.
Manager and owner Alina Atash has big plans for the location.
“It’s a historic place and we have good access here…we want to bring a little bit of culture here,” said Atash.
One of Atash’s goals is to expand on her tearoom, which is located on-site.
“Tea culture is a little bit more slow, relaxed, and I wanted people to be able to come in and just forget what’s going on out there and just enjoy good food,” said Atash.
Georgees Grill will also be opening up their patio area in March.
The restaurant is closed on Mondays. For more information on Georgees Grill, click here.
