“Our main goal at [the] Humane Society of Northern Virginia is to save as many pets’ lives as possible and, through this event, we hope to raise community awareness and make it a fun day for all that join us,” Fundraiser Chair Polly Becker explained.
Four car groups are expected to participate – Old Dominion Corvette Club, Battlefield Corvette Club, Northern Virginia Corvette Club and Aquia Corvette Club.
The following awards will be handed out:
- Mutt’s Choice
- Kittie’s Choice
- Sparky’s Choice (IHO the FD)
- McGruff”s Choice (IHO of the PD)
- People’s Choice
In addition to checking out cars and meeting adoptable pets, participants will find face painting by a local artist and children’s games.
Other features include food trucks and a child ID table set up by the Prince William County Sheriff’s Office.
HSNV is powered by the Advocates For Abused and Abandoned Pets (A3P) and began operating last year.
