One upcoming event is providing an inside look at a local town.
Discover Occoquan has been scheduled for 11 a.m. on May 18.
Set up by the Town of Occoquan and the Occoquan Merchants’ Guild, the free program will feature an array of activities, including a history tour and scavenger hunt.
Area businesses are hosting classes and demonstrations, as well.
Children can be entered into a raffle for a chance to serve as council member or the mayor throughout the day.
The event is ending at River Mill Park, where a beer garden and concert will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Participants may park on the street and public parking lot. A free shuttle that runs from the Route 123 Commuter lot to 305 Mill Street is also being offered.
Shuttle passengers will have a chance to make a donation to Patriots for Disabled Divers.
Additional information about Discover Occoquan and a schedule is available on the Town of Occoquan website.
