Last week, 32 new recruits joined the ranks of the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue.
According to a release, the recruits were welcomed in during a ceremony at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas.
“Class 2016-2 consist[ed] of 32 Fire and Rescue Technicians who successfully completed 26 weeks of rigorous academic and physical training at the Department’s Public Safety Training Center in Nokesville, Virginia. Each student performed in excess of 1,100 hours of training with total class hours of over 26,000 hours combined. The training consisted of 1 week of Orientation/Study Skills/Health, Nutrition and Fitness, 7 weeks of Emergency Medical Training, 11 weeks of Fire Training, and 7 weeks of Specialized Training,” stated a release.
