One Woodbridge man has won six figures after playing in a Virginia Lottery game multiple times.
Ladarren Smith received $225,000 when he purchased a ticket from the lottery’s “In the Money” game.
“I spaced out for a second, then I screamed,” Smith said. “It feels amazing. I’m ecstatic.”
The Information Technology (I.T.) consultant had previously purchased three winning tickets from the game. He won $15 from each of the first two tickets and $25 from the third one.
Smith bought the $225,000 ticket from the 7-Eleven that is located at 13990 Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge.
For now, he plans to use his winnings to pay bills.
Smith claimed the last top prize, meaning that the Virginia Lottery has closed the game.
The possibility of winning the top prize were 1 in 1,060,800, and the chances of winning any prize were 1 in 4.31.
