Northern Virginia drivers could experience a more difficult commute early Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service (NWS) is calling for snow, sleet and freezing rain between 3 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., residents could see up to half an inch of snow and less than one-tenth an inch of ice.
Roads could be slippery and driving visibility may be limited, NWS says.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is preparing the roads for the expected winter weather.
VDOT is asking drivers to watch the weather and avoid traveling in icy conditions, according to a release.
