More than 30 years ago, many civilians were injured or died during the Tiananmen Square Massacre.
Prior to the event, the Chinese government had told troops to end protests that were being held at the Beijing location.
Community members will be able to learn more about the Tiananmen Square Massacre at a presentation The Cold War Museum and Old Bust Head Brewing Company are hosting, according to a release from The Cold War Museum.
The speakers are National Security Agency China experts Dr. Laura Murray and Greg Nedved, and former United States Air Force Attaché Ken Allen.
Set for February 9, the presentation will start at 2 p.m. at Old Bust Head Brewing Company, 7134 Lineweaver Road in Vint Hill.
Tickets can be purchased on eventbrite for $35. Any available tickets will cost $45 at the door.
Those unable to attend the program may buy tickets online and access a video of it by emailing Cold War Museum Executive Director Jason Hall at jason@coldwar.org.
