The smells and traditions of Thanksgiving are just a couple of weeks away.
The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) and the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) are encouraging citizens to stay safe while traveling to their destinations.
Using a seat belt is one suggestion law enforcement has for motorists.
More than 300 United States motorists died from crashes that occurred throughout the 2016 Thanksgiving weekend, according to a release.
Forty-nine percent of those individuals weren’t wearing seat belts.
More information about traveling safely is available on NHTSA’s website.
