A Prince William County official is being recognized by the scouting community later this month.
Supervisor Marty Nohe is receiving the Good Scout Award.
It will be presented to him on December 18 at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, according to Jacob Mosser from the Good Scout Award Committee.
“The Good Scout Award is given to a community member who best exemplifies the values of the scout oath and law while serving in their community,” Mosser said.
Nohe represents the Coles district and has served on the Board of County Supervisors (BOCS) since 2003.
He earned his bachelor’s in economics from George Mason University and graduated from Virginia’s Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership.
Community members are invited to the dinner, which begins at 7 p.m.
“I encourage any scouting alumni in Prince William County as well as Eagle Scouts to come and attend, support the scouting community here in Prince William County, and participate in a great, community event,” Mosser said.
