Several local organizations and individuals are helping keep Prince William County clean of debris.
A stream clean up day has been scheduled for October 27.
Prince William Soil and Water Conservation Districts (PWSWCD), Merrimac Farm Master Naturalists, “Friends of the Square,” and Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB) are hosting the event.
It will run from 9 a.m. to Noon at 10651 Lomond Drive in Manassas.
The stream is located behind Costco Manassas, near Bull Run Shopping Center.
It connects with Bull Run, a tributary of the Occoquan River. The Occoquan River serves as a water source for many Prince William County residents.
Volunteers are needed for the stream cleanup.
Those interested in participating should wear appropriate clothes and shoes.
To register or learn more information about the event, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 571-379-8213.
Registration is also available online.
The rain date for the clean up is November 3.
