Woodbridge shoppers have a new space to enjoy a cup of coffee, or just relax.
Final touches are being made on the “Town Square” located at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center.
The space, which sits in front of the new Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, will soon feature furniture and fire pits.
“It just gives a little bit more event space and space for our shoppers and families to start to kind of spread out,” Stonebridge Property Manager Anastasia Podorski said.
The square will also offer three restrooms, which could be opening to community members in the coming weeks.
A splash pad may become operational this month, as well.
“We’ll have that open for kids to come and splash and play around, and move on for the day,” Podorski said.
During the Christmas holiday, the square’s artificial turf will be covered up. In its place will stand a temporary ice rink.
The Town Square is the most recent update that the town center has made.
“Stonebridge is really excited to just be able to create some more areas for our shoppers to hang out after they’re done either shopping or eating … and really give the Woodbridge community one more place to come and hang out and enjoy the outdoors,” Podorski said.
