Students have an opportunity to get fit this fall.
Registration is open for the Prince William County Sports program.
The Hylton Boys and Girls Club in Dale City is offering three activities area youth can participate in — basketball, cheer and volleyball.
Through the program, children can gain new abilities.
“We use sports to build character and leadership skills,” Regional Athletic Director Eric Alford wrote in an email. “The program is a developmental program to promote physical fitness for all young people.”
It costs $100 for current members and $150 for new members to play basketball. Cheering costs $50 for current members and $100 for new members.
After Friday, the fees will increase by $25.
Volleyball registration is $85 for current members and $135 for new members until October 11, when it will rise $25.
Those interested in registering can do so until October 17.
Practices will begin during the week of October 15, and games will start in the week of November 5.
In addition to participants, the club is also seeking volunteers who will serve as coaches.
