Community members had an opportunity to learn about services and resources in Prince William County on Monday.
The Prince William Chamber of Commerce and the Prince William Area Agency on Aging hosted the fifth annual Transitions event at the Hylton Education Center at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge.
Transitions seeks to help caregivers plan ahead and learn about resources in Prince William County, according to a release.
“Transitions is an important event to educate older adults and their caregivers about resources available in the Prince William area,” Prince William Area Agency on Aging Director Sarah Henry said in a release. “These resources can assist older adults with their aging in place goals and provide piece of mind for their caregivers and loved ones.”
The educational expo offered exhibits and senior living options. Some exhibitors conducted screenings.
InsideNOVA Prince William was a sponsor of the free event.
“We’re delighted to be a part of this event as part of our effort to support activities and events that go on in the community, here in Prince William County,” Publisher Bruce Potter said. “The community is important to us. We support the community; the community supports us, as well.”
