December is always a busy time of year, but it’s the month my children, like most, look forward to it arriving all year long. However, there are many area families in need of help this holiday season. So to help ensure area children have a holiday to fondly remember, I’m working with local non-profit Rise Up Prince William to hold a Christmas gift drive event this Sunday evening, December 15th at 6:00 p.m.
There will be plenty of holiday activities, music, food, and even pictures with Santa so you can avoid long lines elsewhere. I encourage everyone to donate a children’s gift if so able (note: wrapped gifts are preferred, but please label with intended gender and age range for the toy) So please come by any time from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. this Sunday December 15, 2019 at 14650 Washington Street, Haymarket, VA 20169.
Thank you in advance for your help as we continue to serve those around us who need a little help this holiday season.
Also, I want to relay that the Chabad of Greater Gainesville and Manassas is hosting a menorah lighting to celebrate Chanukah at the Virginia Gateway shopping center on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at 5:30 PM – 7:00PM. I plan to attend again this year, and encourage everyone to come by and join with their neighbors at a wonderful community celebration holiday event.
Thank you for all you do to serve your neighbors here in the Gainesville District. If you need our help, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office.
