County residents interested in supporting veterans have a new way to help.
Northern Virginia Veterans Association has new volunteer positions available, according to a release.
The positions include: Volunteer Coordinator, Membership Manager, Support Specialist, and a Board of Director’s Treasurer position.
Northern Virginia Veterans (NOVA) Association is also looking for veterans and veteran spouses for Veteran2Veteran Phone Outreach & Support, a new program it has started with Action in Community Through Service (ACTS).
“If you are a veteran and want to keep serving or if you support our veterans and want to show that through volunteering, we would love to have you on our team,” NOVA Veterans President Angela McConnell said in a release.
More information about the new program and volunteer positions is available online.
Questions can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Those who are unable to volunteer but are interested in telling others about NOVA Veterans can attend the non-profit’s quarterly partner meeting on May 15. The meeting will begin at 6:45 p.m. at Freedom Museum in Manassas.
