A couple of new ladder trucks are helping fire and rescue personnel serve Prince William County.
This month, two trucks that offer aerial ladders and medical equipment went into service.
The Board of County Supervisors (BOCS) approved funding for the trucks, which serve the community at all times.
When discussing the fiscal 2019 budget, officials from the fire and rescue system said there were gaps in ladder truck coverage, according to a release from the county.
Prince William County, they added, also relies on other localities for support.
One truck is taking calls from the Stonewall Jackson Volunteer Fire Department in Manassas. The second truck is running calls out of Dale City Volunteer Fire Department (DCVFD) Station 20.
