More industrial space could be coming to the Manassas area within the next couple of years.
Matan Companies, a real estate agency, has begun planning a new development.
Referred to as “Parkway 66,” the project is being built near I-66 and the Prince William Parkway, according to Matan Companies’ website.
The estimated 12.5-acre property will offer 30-foot ceilings and plenty of space for truck loading.
Matan Companies hopes to use the space for industrial companies and those who use data centers.
“Our unplanned sale of assets in Sterling prompted a search to the south and west, and we view the opportunity in Prince William County with great promise,” Brad Benna from the Matan Companies said in a release. “The dynamics in Loudoun, and the Metro area as a whole, make Prince William County not the next frontier, but the place right now.”
Construction on the project, which will be located next to FedEx Ground’s distribution center, is expected to begin in the second half of 2019.
