Many Manassas residents are pleased with their hometown.
Eighty-one percent of citizens considered the City a “good” or “excellent” place of residency in a recent questionnaire.
Conducted by ETC Institute, the third City Citizen Satisfaction Survey looked into how satisfied residents are with local services.
More than 400 community members completed it.
Based on the results, Manassas ranked higher than the United States average in 51 of the 64 categories. It also outperformed the region’s average in 49 areas.
The City also received a higher rating than the country and region’s average in the Overall Quality of City Services and Customer Service from City Employees.
“City staff work very hard each day to provide quality services and customer service for our residents and I am pleased that our core value of customer service really stands out in this survey,” City Manager Patrick Pate said in a release. “This survey provides great insight into the communities’ opinions and areas of priority for the future of the City of Manassas.”
In addition to help determine citizen satisfaction, the biennial survey helps officials as they consider priorities for the City’s future.
Community members, according to the survey, are interested in traffic, public education and economic development.
