The Town of Occoquan is taking the lemons that life has given and is using them to host a free event.
The 2018 Lemonade Stroll & Sale is taking place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
It will offer free lemon treats and lemonade.
Attendees can also browse through Occoquan businesses and learn more about the town’s history at Mill House Museum.
Yellow balloons can be found at shops that are participating.
A lemon hunt has been added to the event, which is sponsored by The Occoquan Merchants’ Guild.
Community members who are 18 years and older can search for plastic lemons that are hidden throughout the town. The lemons can be brought to businesses for discounts and specials.
Parking is available in Occoquan, and a free shuttle service will be offered from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
It will pick up patrons at the Route 123 Commuter lot, which sits at the intersection of Old Bridge Road and Gordon Boulevard.
Shuttle service users, who will be dropped off at 305 Mill Street, can make a donation to non-profit Patriots For Disabled Divers.
