James A. Willett has been named Prince William County’s new Circuit Court judge.
The House of Delegates approved the judgeship today.
House Resolution 207, which lists him as a nominee for the position, was unanimously passed by the house.
The resolution was introduced by Del. Les Adams.
Willett, a chief deputy in the Commonwealth Attorney’s office, will begin his eight-year term on April 1.
An investiture ceremony will take place in late April.
He will join Chief Judge Carroll A. Weimer Jr., Presiding Judge Craig D. Johnston, Judge Tracy Calvin Hudson, Judge Kimberly A. Irving, and Judge Steven S. Smith.
