Irish heritage is being celebrated in Manassas next month.
The 19th annual Greater Manassas St. Patrick’s Day Parade is taking place on March 10 at 11 a.m.
Non-profit Inisfail Inc. is hosting the parade, which will begin at the corner of Quarry Road and Prescott Avenue.
It will travel through Old Town Manassas and last about an hour, according to Parade Committee Media Representative Vince Fitzpatrick.
The parade will feature six pipe bands that will play Irish music.
“We have some of the best pipe bands in the Washington, D.C. – Richmond area,” Fitzpatrick said.
Many local merchants are participating in the parade by having a float or individuals marching.
