A Gainesville man has won $125,000 from the Virginia Lottery after playing numbers he saw in a dream.
Carlos Ramos recently participated in the Virginia Lottery’s “Cash 5” game.
On April 27, the five numbers he chose matched with those found on two tickets.
The winning numbers were 5-8-11-28-34.
Ramos, who works in sales, won $25,000 from a ticket that he wagered 25 cents on. He gambled $1 on a another ticket and won an additional $100,000.
He purchased the tickets from Golden Group, 8536 Sudley Road in Manassas, and Food Lion, 15201 Washington Street in Haymarket on his way to work.
Ramons plans to use the $125,000 to pay bills and possibly take a vacation.
Drawings for the “Cash 5” game take place every day at 1:59 p.m. and 11 p.m. There is a 1 in 278,256 chance of winning the $100,000 top prize.
