One woman was hit with a shocking realization while at a car wash.
Nicole Mason was sitting in her car when she discovered that she had won $1 million from the Virginia Lottery.
“I started crying,” Mason said. “I didn’t even let the car wash dry the car. I just drove off.”
The Dumfries resident purchased the SERIES ticket from Wellington Shell, which stands at 10155 Hastings Drive in Manassas.
Mason chose to receive the $561,798 in cash, which is before taxes.
In addition, Wellington Shell will receive $10,000 from the Virginia Lottery.
Mason’s ticket is the last top prize that has been claimed in the SERIES game.
Players had a 1 in 1,162,800 chance of winning $1 million prize. The possibility of receiving any prize was 1 in 3.11.
