Prince William residents can explore one of the county’s localities later this month.
The Town of Occoquan and the Occoquan Merchants Guild are hosting Discover Occoquan Day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 19.
The free event will begin with the Blessing of the Fleet Parade along the Occoquan River, according to a release.
Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., businesses will offer various classes and demonstrations, such as candle pouring and yoga.
Community members will also have an opportunity to visit restaurants, shops and cafes throughout the town.
Some businesses will participate in a flash sale that starts at 5 p.m.
From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., The Sidleys will perform at a free outdoor concert that will be held at
River Mill Park, 458 Mill Street.
Free parking will be available throughout the day.
Starting at 11 a.m., a free shuttle service will be picking up attendees from the Route 123 Commuter lot at the intersection of Old Bridge Road and Gordon Boulevard. Patrons will be dropped off at 305 Mill Street.
Any donations made by shuttle riders will benefit non-profit Patriots for Disabled Divers.
