High school teachers and veterans can learn more about the cyber-security field later this month.
The Virginia Serious Game Institute and the Volgenau School of Engineering are hosting the Cyber Training and Education Conference on June 26.
It will be held at George Mason University’s Manassas campus, according to a release.
The Prince William County Department of Economic Development is sponsoring the conference, which is free to local veterans who are going into cyber-related careers and teachers who are helping students prepare for their future.
Representatives from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) and The MITRE Corporation will serve as the speakers.
Event attendees will learn about what skills are needed for various positions, such as forensic computer analyst and security architect.
Space at the conference is limited.
Registration and the agenda are available online.
