Citizens can have an impact on future decisions made in Prince William County.
Officials are hosting Community Conversations about the 2040 Comprehensive Plan during the next few weeks.
The Comprehensive Plan helps direct growth and development.
The Board of County Supervisors (BOCS) use it to make decisions about land use and infrastructure, according to the guide.
Five focus areas are included — Long-Range Land Use, Community Development, Infrastructure and Facilities, Conservation/Preservation, and Small Area/Sector Plans.
Three open-house style Community Conversations have been scheduled throughout the county. They will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Members of the public will have a chance to provide feedback to county agencies, including the Planning Office.
