Phase II Staffing and Contracting is the year sponsor for the chamber’s Education and Innovation Committee.
A $1,750 check was presented at the Education and Innovation Committee meeting, which was held in Manassas on Tuesday.
It followed a presentation on Military Child Education Coalition, a global non-profit.
State Senator Jeremy McPike also provided information on a new law that will allow school divisions to waive the 140 instructional hour requirement if a student has completed the course work and Standards of Learning (SOL) exam.
Students will be able to use the extra time to gain skills and earn certifications for industries.
