High school seniors have a chance to win a scholarship.
The Prince William Chamber of Commerce in Manassas is accepting applications for its scholarship program.
This year, three students will each receive up to $2,500.
To be considered, applicants must be an employee of a company that’s a chamber member or the dependent of an employee.
They should also plan to enroll in a college or university, have a 3.0 grade point average (GPA), and show leadership skills.
Students can fill online application can be filled out on the chamber’s website or downloaded.
In addition to completing the application, they must submit a copy of their high school transcript, a resume, a letter of recommendation from a teacher, and a resume essay.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. on March 1. Officials will interview the selected students on March 18 or March 20.
Scholarship recipients will be contacted on April 5 and will be recognized at the Education and Innovation Breakfast.
The Education and Innovation Breakfast is occurring at Bristow Manor Golf Club on April 24.
