Young adults have a paid opportunity to serve the community.
The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) is accepting applications for the Police Cadet Program from February 1 to February 17.
Officials are considering individuals who are between 18 and 20 years old and are interested in working for the PWCPD.
Selected applicants will receive a salary that starts at more than $27,000 and several benefits, including a flexible schedule.
Once they become 21, cadets will be eligible to enroll in the Prince William County Criminal Justice Academy.
Applicants must be United States citizens, have a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license, and not have any felonies.
They should sign a no-tobacco contract, have correctable vision, and have hearing that meets medical requirements.
Individuals interested in the position will submit an application, complete a medical exam, and participate in interviews and a police ride-along.
