A recent race put on by a local non-profit sought to raise awareness about intellectual and development disabilities.
The Arc of Greater Prince William and Lake Ridge RidgeRunners Club hosted the first annual Run, Walk & Roll.
The 5K run and 1-mile walk took place at the Pfitzner Stadium in Woodbridge, according to a release.
“We’ve had great support from the community, primarily Prince William Home Improvement, Lustine Auto, FreshySites, and a number of other sponsors who stepped up and made this all possible,” Arc of Greater Prince William Director of Resource Development Chris Caseman told What’s Up Prince William.
Staff members from the Prince William County Department of Fire & Rescue (PWCDFR) supported the Arc of Greater Prince William.
“We’re here to support them so that they can raise money for the Arc of Prince William,” Leif Ericson from DFR said. “It’s a beautiful Saturday, and we’re happy to be here.”
